The following information is for speakers at the Earth and Space 2021.
NOTE: * We have confirmed that this conference will take place virtually instead of Seattle, WA. We have assembled an agenda and have communicated with each speaker the day and time for their presentation.
Registration for the Earth and Space 2021 Conference
Speakers and moderators have received a speaker code to apply a discount to the member/non-member registration rates.
It is mandatory that you register and pay for the conference by Friday, March 26, 2021.
IMPORTANT: Earth and Space requires that at least one author from your presentation register by the speaker registration deadline of Friday, March 26, 2021. Presentations that don’t have at least one author registered by Friday, March 26, 2021 will be removed from the technical program and associated papers will not be published in the proceedings.
Speaker and moderator registration fees are non-refundable after Friday, April 2, 2021, due to the necessary advance production of the proceedings and the program. Exceptions will only be made for illness or emergency if the request is made in writing and accompanied by a doctor's note and/or similar official documentation stating the emergency and person's name. The subsequent refund will be made minus a $100 processing fee. To submit a cancellation request, please contact ASCE Customer Service at [email protected].
Presentations
Oral Presentations:
All presentations are to be done live on the platform. A session is 70 minutes followed by a 20 minute question and answer period with all of the session speakers. Each symposium session includes 4 - 6 speakers, and speaker presentations will range from 12 minutes each.
PowerPoint slides for breakout rooms should be a 16:9 (widescreen) ratio.
If you are unable to present live, you have several choices with recording your presentation:
Staff Assisted: Earth & Space staff can assist you with your recording if needed.
Your recording will be done through our virtual platform company, Vision Creative, and ASCE Earth & Space staff can help assist with that. Recordings must be scheduled by March 19, 2021 and will take place the following week. Please do not wait until the last minute to schedule to record your presentation. If technical issues happen during the staff assisted recording time, it may be possible that you will have to reschedule the recording.
Self-Recording:
You may no longer submit a self recording.
